Stowmarket High School teacher Andrew Wright is retiring after 36 years at the school. Originally from North Wales, he joined Stowmarket High in April 1989 to teach maths – and has spent his entire teaching career there. He said: “I intended to do three years and move on, but I just stayed and various promotions came my way, but I have loved it. I really have.” The school’s senior leadership team (SLT) said they couldn’t thank him enough for ‘his unwavering commitment, wisdom, and the countless lives he has inspired’.
Craig Morrison, Kingfisher Chief Executive said: 'Mr Wright retires a true Stowmarket legend. His contribution to the school and local community is unparalleled and we wish him an amazing retirement!'
